Camilo Diaz Jr. is a Mexican-American visual journalist based in Fort Worth, Texas. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism with a concentration in Photojournalism from the University of North Texas, specializing in visual storytelling that captures depth and authenticity.
His experience includes a year-long multimedia fellowship at the Fort Worth Report, where he worked as both a photojournalist and writer, covering local news through photography, video, and written stories. He was also selected as an NPR NextGen Radio mentee, honing his skills in audio and visual storytelling. Currently, he is a video intern at KERA, the NPR and PBS member station for North Texas, and works as a freelance photojournalist.
